The Artists:

Nine year old Ji-Yong Kim started piano lessons when he was six . In these 3 short years, he was awarded with many honors including the 1st prize of 1999
Junior Chopin competition. He has performed at the 1999 Kum Ho Prodigy Concert and the 2000 Korea Music Foundation New York Debut Recital.
Kim's family moved from Korea to New Jersey 6 months ago in order to study with Yin Cheng-Zong. Ji-Yong also enjoys bicycling and swimming.

14 year old Alice Chen was born in Texas and moved back to Taiwan when she was four. She was the first prize winner of both the 1997 and 1999 Taipei
Junior Piano Competitions. She also plays cello and loves swimming.

Both Ji-Yong Kim and Alice Chen are students of the 10th Annual Summer Music Festival, studying under the tutelage of Yin Cheng-Zong and Hung-Kuan Chen.
The Music Festival is presented by the Foundation for Chinese Performing Arts at the Walnut Hill School in Natick. The Foundation has organized the Summer
Music Festival every August for the past 10 years, providing talented young musicians an opportunity to learn from world-class masters on a one-to-one
basis. The aspiring artists come primarily from Asia and participate in concerts, lessons, seminars and master classes.
