To stimulate the interests of learning traditional Chinese music and Chinese
culture in general.
Anyone within the age limit(based on birth date as of October 1, 2016),
regardless of nationality, who can be at the live audition in person.
A: 9 and under, B: 10-13, C: 14-17, D: 18-22

Application fee: $30. If a person participates in more than one
instrument, the second, third instruments’ application fee will be $25
each. Students could enter as solo, duo, trio,.. or as a chamber ensemble.
For group entry, each and every one of the performer has to fill the
application form and the group name. The average age of all participants
in the group will be the group “age”. Application fee is $30 regardless
whether it is a solo or a group.

Audition and Repertoire: Same
repertoire could be performed for both audition and concert.

Those who passed the audition on 10/1/2016
will be invited to a concert performance on 10/8/2016. The concert is open
to the public. Free Admission, suggested donation is $10 per person at door.
An invited guest artist will give 10 min demonstration performance at the
concert. The invited artist of 2016 is Ms. Ping Li 李平 on dulcimer.
Certificate and Cash Award
The concert performers will receive cash award and award certificate. The
cash award is the same whether it is a solo or group ensemble. All members
of the ensemble will receive his/her award certificates.
