demonstration by Mr. Ho-chung Lam
林浩宗
Acclaimed Chinese traditional brush
painting master, Mr. Lam graduated from the Guangzhou
Fine Arts Institute, specialized in flower-and-bird painting
in the classical style of
Zhu-Liang School. Mr. Lam's landscapes of live images around
the world were praised by
The Macau Daily News as “ … excellent combination of Chinese
tradition and Western elements,
full of power, energy, and spirit. His dazzling
flower-and-bird drawings are vivid and
luminous in nature.” Mr. Lam has given solo and jointed
exhibitions in Boston and at
Guangdong Arts Academy and Shenzheng Arts Gallery to
critical acclaims. Many of his paintings
were sold for private collections. Currently he teaches at
Newton Chinese Language School,
and has served as the President of New England Fine Arts
Society and the North America
Chinese Artists Association.

Chi-Wei Lo 駱奇偉, piano
Pianist Chi-Wei Lo from Taiwan is a
doctoral candidate at the New England
Conservatory majoring in contemporary piano improvisation.
His gift was recognized
since very young, and has won all the major national piano
competitions in Taiwan.
After moved to US, he received many top honors including
first prizes of the Steinway,
the A. Ramon Rivera, the NEC- Prep, the Chinese Foundation's
Festival Concerto competitions,
to name a few. Along with standard repertoire, Mr. Lo has
arranged songs from pop and rock.
He has an active schedule of performances as a soloist and
chamber player and is expanding
his creativity through different genres of music. Mr. Lo
received his BA and MM from
the Juilliard School under Jerome Lowenthal and Hung Kuan
Chen. His improvisation group,
The Illustrators, has released their first album, premieres
new works as well as
performing illustrations on existing works.

楊雲
Mr. Yang Yun, a member of Chinese Artists Association,
is the Executive Vice-chairman of Nanchong Artists
Association, and
the Vice President of Painting and Calligraphy Institute of
Nanchong, China.
His works have been awarded and selected to major
exhibitions.
It have also been published and collected privately and
internationally.

Ms. Runyu
Qian, graduated from the middle school attached to the China
Conservatory,
was the first prize winner of the 2014 International Chinese
Instrument Competition in China.
She is studying at Berklee College of Music
as a singer,
songwriter, and producer.
She also plays electric guitar.
