Quan Ge

Violinist
Quan Ge joined the New York Philharmonic in June 2009. She has appeared as
concertmaster with the Juilliard orchestras, the New York Philharmonic Young
People's Concerts and some of the New York Philharmonic subscription
concerts. Ms Ge has won top prizes at the China National violin competitions
and Jeunesses international music competition in Bucharest, Romania. As a
chamber musician, Ms Ge performed regularly at the Merkin Hall, SubCulture,
National Sawdust, The Appel Room and Bravo! Vail. Quan Ge received her BM
degree from the Curtis Institute of Music and MM degree from the Juilliard
School. Her teachers include David Chan, Ida Kavafian, Pamela Frank, Jaime
Laredo, Yumi Scott and Lei Fang.

Mo Mo
莫漠, cellist
Hailed
by the Weekly Music magazine for his “Impeccably logical but also vivid,
emotional playing”, Mo Mo has already established himself as one of the
leading cellists of his generation. In recent years, he has collaborated
with China National Symphony Orchestra, Beijing Symphony Orchestra, Zhejiang
Symphony Orchestra and Greater Boston Asian American Youth Orchestra, under
the baton of Maestro Tan Dun, Maestro Lihua Tan and Maestro Yi Zhang. Mr.Mo
has performed in venues such as Carnegie Hall, Kennedy Center in Washington
D.C., Beijing Concert Hall, National Center for Performing Arts in Beijing,
Jordan Hall in Boston and the Fontainebleau Palace in Paris. As an
enthusiastic chamber music player, Mo Mo has collaborated with renowned
musicians such as Mark Kaplan, Ilya Kaler and Robert Diaz. He was also on
tour with the Heifetz International Music Institute as soloist and performed
across Rode Island and New York. Mr. Mo has been invited to the Institute
every summer since 2015 as Artist in Residence.
Mo Mo began his cello study with Professor Tao Song from the Central
Conservatory of Music in Beijing at age of 6, and later with legendary
Brazilian-American cellist Aldo Parisot at Yale School of Music. Since then,
he has won top prize at international competitions such as the 2016
Schoenfeld International String Competition in Harbin, China, and the 2017
Koussevitzky Young Artist Award in New York. He is also a recipient of the
Aldo Parisot Prize from Yale University, the Karl Zeise Memorial Cello Award
from Tanglewood Music Center and the Beneficent Society Scholarship from New
England Conservatory. Mr. Mo’s other teachers including Mula Na, Laurence
Lesser and Philippe Muller.

Angela Qianwen Shen

Angela
Qianwen Shen joined the First Violin section of the Metropolitan Opera
Orchestra in 2019. Before joining the MET, Ms. Shen has appeared in
performances with Boston Symphony Orchestra, Minnesota Orchestra, Baltimore
Symphony Orchestra. She has also served as Concertmaster of the New World
Symphony, New England Conservatory Philharmonic Orchestra, New England
Conservatory Chamber Orchestra, and Mannes Orchestra. She was also a fellow
at the Tanglewood Music Center in 2016. Ms. Shen has appeared in ensemble
and solo performances in prominent halls including Carnegie Hall, Boston
Symphony Hall, Victoria Theatre and Concert Hall of Singapore, Hong Kong Art
Center Concert Hall, National Centre for the Performing Arts in Beijing
China, Shanghai Music Hall, and Shanghai Oriental Art Center. An avid
chamber musician, Ms. Shen performed at the YellowBarn Music Festival in
2014 and 2015, as well as at the Perlman Music Program in 2015. She has
collaborated with musicians from the Cleveland Quartet, Emerson Quartet,
Julliard Quartet, Takacs Quartet, and Peabody Trio.
Born in Bengbu, China, Ms. Shen began her violin studies at the age of four.
Her principal teachers include Lei Fang, Donald Weilerstein, and David Chan.
Ms. Shen received her Bachelor of Music from the Shanghai Conservatory of
Music, and her Master of Music as well as her Graduate Diploma from the New
England Conservatory. Also Professional Studies Diploma from The Mannes
School of Music.

Yinfei Wang

Wang began his piano studies in Shanghai at the age of four. Shortly
thereafter, he was awarded top prizes in several national competitions in
China. He made his first public appearance at the age of 7 in the Shanghai
Concert Hall. Since then, he has performed throughout China, Singapore,
Spain, Australia, United Kingdom and the United States. He is a prize winner
in the Washington International Piano Competition, Gershwin International
Piano Competition, Jacob Flier Piano Competition and Chopin Piano
Competition in Connecticut among many others. As a soloist, Mr. Wang has
performed with the Hudson Valley Philharmonic Orchestra, Manhattan School of
Music Symphony Orchestra, with conductors Vladimir Feltsman, Phillipe
Entremont, among others. An avid chamber musician, Mr. Wang was chosen as a
winner of the annual Lilian Fuchs Memorial Chamber Music Competition three
times at the Manhattan School of Music. He has performed with renowned
musicians such as Thomas Hill, Nai-Yuan Hu, Nicholas Kitchen, Kenneth
Radnofsky and Sam Ou, among others.
Mr. Wang received his Bachelor’s degree from the Shanghai Conservatory of
Music, his Master’s degree and Professional Studies Certificate from the
Manhattan School of Music. He is currently in the Doctoral Program at
Manhattan School of Music. His Principle teachers include Phillip Kawin,
Yanxin Chen, Christopher Zhong and Chongfang Zhang.

Cong Wu

Cong
Wu joined the New York Philharmonic as Assistant Principal Viola, The Norma
and Lloyd Chazen Chair, in September 2018, while pursuing his doctoral
degree at Manhattan School of Music. Winner of the Third Prize and the
Chamber Music Prize in the Fourteenth Primrose International Viola
Competition, and the Special Prize in he Twelfth Tertis International Viola
Competition, he has performed throughout North America and Asia, including
solo appearances with the Santa Barbara Chamber Orchestra, Macau Youth
Orchestra, and New York Classical Players. An avid chamber musician, Mr. Wu
has collaborated with Christoph Eschenbach, David Finckel, Itzhak Perlman,
Philharmonic Principal Viola Cynthia Phelps, Peter Wiley, Pinchas Zukerman,
and the American String Quartet. He has performed at various festivals,
including Marlboro Music Festival, The Chamber Music Society of Lincoln
Center’s Chamber Music Encounters, Music@Menlo, Perlman Music Program, Lake
Champlain Chamber Music Festival, and Schleswig-Holstein Musik Festival in
Germany. Cong Wu was recently appointed as a guest faculty member of the
National Arts Centre Summer Music Institute in Canada, and performed in the
Music@Menlo Winter Residency. He also regularly appears with the Jupiter
Symphony Chamber Players, East Coast Chamber Orchestra, and New York
Classical Players.
